Luis Barragán
Luis Barragán Morfín (Guadalajara, Jalisco, México; 9 de marzo de 1902 - México, D. F.; 22 de noviembre de 1988) fue uno de los arquitectos mexicanos más importantes del siglo XX y único de su nacionalidad en obtener el Premio Pritzker en 1980. Luis Barragán es uno de los arquitectos más influyentes de la modernidad mexicana, su obra es notoria en arquitectos actuales no sólo en aspectos visuales sino conceptuales. Sus edificaciones son frecuentemente visitadas por estudiantes y catedráticos de arquitectura de prácticamente todo el orbe.
Luis Barragán Morfín (Guadalajara, March 9, 1902 – Mexico City, November 22, 1988) was a Mexican architect. He was self-trained. Educated as an engineer, he graduated from the Escuela Libre de Ingenieros in Guadalajara in 1923 and was self-trained as an architect. After graduation, he travelled through Spain, France (where he attended lectures of Le Corbusier), and Morocco. While in France he became aware of the writings of Ferdinand Bac, a German-French writer, designer and artist who had a huge influence on Barragán's future career. He practiced architecture in Guadalajara from 1927–1936, and in Mexico City thereafter.

Il est l'un des plus célèbres architectes mexicains connu pour son style, synthèse entre l’architecture vernaculaire et Moderniste. Il a été distingué par le prix Pritzker en 1980 et sa Maison-atelier est classée en 2004 au patrimoine mondial de l'humanité.
